Norway & Finland 2024
We enjoyed our trip to Denmark and Sweden last year and decided to visit two more Nordic countries in June, 2024, for three weeks.
We flew from SFO to Copenhagen and from there took a connecting flight to Oslo, the capital of Norway where we spent three nights.
We cruised the Næroyfjord and visited several sites around the town of Sogndal on the Sognefjord.
We drove over the Sognefjellet through Lom to the town of Geiranger, and then on to Valldal.
We wanted to drive over the Trollstigen but it was closed. We visited the summit and then drover to Ålesund where we spent two nights.
We left the fjords behind and drove to Bergen, Norway’s second largest city, where we spent two nights.
We flew from Bergen to Helsinki where we spent four nights, before flying home with an overnight stop in Copenhagen.
